Best slipper ever! Don't doubt it!I bought similar slippers at LL Bean. They sucked. too tight and ripped. the inside sole padding wore away some.I was delighted with the Acorn socks. Given my previous experience, I ordered 1 size bigger than my shoe size. I'm glad I did. Every slipper I have tried sas too small at the toes, fixed only by moving up one size. the acorns were relaxed in the uppers. It lets them breath and get rid of moisture easier, the inside soles are soft, too. the slippers are warm and comfortable. and I really like the rubber soles in case I have to run out to the care to get something. As far as I am concerned, they are 3 times better than LL Bean, who has lost their way. I cannot say enough good about these.5comfortable, look niceWarm, comfortable, look nice, seem well made thus far. I've been wearing these daily for the past three weeks, so far they seem to be holding up well. They're nice and cozy, the part that goes over the lower leg is nice and roomy and not tight for those with bigger calves. Poorly designed not worth buying.Although these Acorns look to be fairly well made overall, I honestly don't care for them at all!They fit so loosely that it's much like walking in slipper-boots which are a couple of sizes too large; they're constructed with non-removable insoles which are much too thick and mushy feeling; aspects of their construction which make them annoyingly uncomfortable when walking around the house. A vexation further exacerbated when it's on padded carpets!The wool sleeves are not very warm in the first place (an insulated lining would sure help). The elastic at the top didn't fit snugly around my lower legs from the start; quickly got worse, and started drooping and falling down toward my ankles after wearing them around the house a few times. Forcing me to use some nylon cord to keep them up on my legs where they belong. The images depicting this boot's shaft standing up straight and tall are completely deceptive don't be fooled!Unless they've undergone, some serious design changes to address these issues since I purchased mine, this is indeed a very high price pay for such poorly designed footwear!1Really??? Don't waste your money.How could someone make a product that cuts corners on the most important part of any shoe, the foot bed that you walk on. The memory foam footbed is so much smaller than the interior of the shoe that I almost fell trying to keep my size 11.5 feet in the platform of this XL-sized boot.. With an artificial hip, that would have been a lawsuit. The sellers should consider their liability in cutting such functional & necessary corners to make money. Maybe they are trying to hide their poor decision-making, but that would be fraud....hmnnn.1Highly recommend. Would buy again.These are excellent boot slippers. Got them for my husband who has neuropathy due to chemo and his legs are also significantly swollen. These boot/slippers are warm, loose enough to fit comfortably with no constriction and have a sturdy, non-slip sole. Very well made. He's had them on pretty much 24/7 for a couple of months and they look like new. They are the only pair of slippers he's been comfortable in for quite some time. Worth every penny. (He wears a size 11, got the XL, perfect).5I bought these 2 weeks ago and loved them as soon as I put them onI bought these 2 weeks ago and loved them as soon as I put them on. 2 weeks later after wearing them almost daily around the house the stitching started to come undone on the inside of slipper, near the foot arch. I thought perhaps the stitching was just the end thread and didn't mean they were falling apart, but as the loose thread kept getting longer I realized this thread was pulling out the main thread, and hence coming apart. A email has been sent to the manufacturer, still no contact back. Will see what kind of company Acorn is when and if they respond. All in all quite disappointing for the cost of these slippers, probably won't buy again or recommend.1Warm and comfy!!!So far so good! Man these things are warm in the house. Have not had cold feet or ankles since I got these for the winter. The fit is as expected. Sturdy sole so you can go outside if needed without worrying about the bottoms getting damp from rain or snow. The sock material is very thinck and the leather around the toe, sides and heels integrate nicely into the flat rubber sole. Also has a nice memory foam insole for comfort.5VERY successful Christmas presentChristmas present for husband, who has a short, wide (EEE) foot. I was a little dubious that these might feel too tight, but they were a BIG hit. They are plenty wide enough for comfort. He has always liked slipper socks for around the house in winter, but he really likes the heavier sole on these "boot slippers." The suede color is a little more maroon than rust, but that doesn't seem to bother him.It's the first time I've ordered him something from Amazon that he's asked for the link so he can order them again if he wants to. THAT is a successful Christmas present!5
