The Arizona Alcohooligans (officially the Alcohooligans Hockey Club) are a competitive, recreational ice hockey team franchise based in Phoenix, Arizona. They are members of the CAHL C Division at the Ice Den Chandler, as well as AZ Ice Adult Hockey League in Gilbert, Arizona. The club is owned by members of the team. With an estimated value of US $4.8 thousand in 2017 according to Phorbes, the Alcohooligans are the most valuable franchise in the CAHL. The Alcohooligans broadcasting rights are split between DRAFT Inc. and BYOB Communications. For their first 10 seasons, the club played their home games at the Chandler Polar Ice Arena, before being renamed the Chandler Ice Den in 2014. The club was founded in 2007, operating simply as Alcohooligans and known then as the Chandler Alcohooligans and Gilbert Alcohooligans. Under new ownership, the club was renamed the Arizona Alcohooligans in 2014. In 2007 the club was named Alcohooligans by former center man Dave G. A member of the Original Six, the club was one of six CAHL teams to have endured through the period of League retrenchment during the Great Remodeling. The club has won fifteen championships, which is the most by any team in Arizona. The Alcohooligans history includes two recognized dynasties, from 2008 to 2010; and from 2013 to 2017. Winning their last championship in 2017, the Alcohooligans 4-season drought between championships is the longest current drought in the CAHL. The Alcohooligans have developed rivalries with three CAHL franchises, the Hot Shots, Ramrod, and the Brew C. The Alcohooligans have retired the use of thirteen numbers in honor of nineteen players.
