    didn't work for meThe shoes look ok, and they fit as expected, but the backs of the shoes rub against that delicate skin on both sides of the Achilles tendon on the back of my feet, I only wore it for a minute or so, and had to take them off and return. There is a thick rough fabric there.The back and top parts are adjustable, but the velcro on that goes over your toes is purely decorative, there is a solid piece under it, so no matter how you adjust it it would not change anything.Besides the part that rubs on the back, the shoes seem to be soft and comfortable. I guess they might have worked for me if I was wearing them with socks, but I do not like the look, and prefer wearing sandals without any socks, so it is no go.2Keep Looking. Not Cobb Hill Quality.I wasn't thrilled when I found out New Balance discontinued this shoe under its Cobb Hill label and shuffled it over to Rockport, but the shoe looked identical, so I made my purchase because my Cobb Hill pair was awesome. Sadly, the shoes didn't even last a full summer. started wearing them in June and as of September, they're coming apart.I'm not even hard in my sandels! Specifically, a portion of the sandel bed (right under my heal) is lifting up & apart & the cushioning is falling out. My Cobb Hill ones lasted three summers before that happened (the whole reason I bought the Rockport's). Totally disappointed.So my suggestion is to skip these and look for "like" styles under other, quality brands, like Ecco. That will be my next stop for my 2018 summer footwear needs.1Comfortable and nice lookingMy feet are a little sensitive so I often have trouble finding comfortable shoes...especially online where I obviously can't try them on. But I'd had good luck with Rockports before and ordered them, along with a similar style of Clark's and Eco, all women's size 8. The prices varied between $59 and $119, btw. Without knowing which brand I was trying on, or the price, I tried a different shoe on my left foot than the one on my right foot, mixing it up amongst the three brands. That made it really easy to compare the fit and comfort. The Rockport won, hands down (or feet down,) to the other two brands. Even without the comparison, I would have sent the other two pairs back to Amazon. Ironically, the Rockports were priced only about $11 from the least expensive shoes. The rejected shoes, so-to-speak, were actually uncomfortable...not just less comfortable than the Rockports. The Rocks were super comfy at the heel, toe, and mid-strap, with a soft, comfy sole cushion as well.5Good, but could be great.The shoe is a good-looking shoe on. The footbed is comfortable and more supportive than it looks. The straps that go across the toe area are very snug (I ordered a medium and usually wear a medium) and the velcro strap on top does not allow for much adjustment to that. The strap that goes across the toes--why can't they make that two straps that are closed together with the velcro strap on top? That would make it so much more adjustable, more versatile. That, and a bit more arch support and these shoes would be great!4Best sandals I've ever owned! Great for all day wear and long speed walks, too!Comfortable right out of the box! Since they arrived three days ago, I've worn them every day all day, including long speed walks (an hour or more), no blisters. They are lightweight yet seem durable. I used to wear Teva leather sandals all the time, but these are lighter and even more comfortable. Then I went to Eccos when they were on sale. The Eccos looked better on my feet than the Teva but weren't as comfortable as the Teva and gave me blisters on long speed walks.These Cobb Hill sandals are as stylish as the Ecco but are way more comfortable. I absolutely love, love, love the Cobb Hill sandals on my feet and am waiting for the price to go down again to purchase a second pair.5OMG! The bestJust purchased my second pair as I wore out my first...they are so comfortable and great support...I always order a size down from 7 1/2 to 7w....for a perfect fit...I can go miles right out of the box and as a senior I would highly recommend for anyone needing arch support...well worth the money5Disappointing QualityMy feet are old, short and wide with a high instep; finding comfortable shoes is not an easy task. Since I have purchased these same sandals twice in the past, I felt confident in purchasing another pair just prior to a two-week trip. In fact, I picked up the sandals from the Amazon locker while on my way to the airport! While on vacation, the sandals served me well. First of all, Fiona sandals are comfortable right out of the box. Through long days and a lot of walking (10-12k steps/day), my feet were comfortable and well supported. Since returning home, I wear these sandals 2-3 days a week, mostly to work, where I spend my day a desk. So, imagine my surprise when I discovered, barely 6 weeks after receiving these sandals, that the soles are already falling apart!!! I've been a fan of Rockport shoes and sandals for over 30 years, but this pair of Fiona sandals is a huge disappointment.1Fit long, skinny yet arthritic feet like a glove!LOVE: Smooth sole ( don't feel seams); Front/toe, Ankle/front, Ankle/back adjustable straps (also smooth on inside - with padding, no less!); perfect front alignment of strap padding with bunion area; not completely flat incline of footCon: Not more colors(?!)I purchased the black first, and after wearing twice came back and bought brown before my size disappeared. I have very long thin feet with formerly high arches now collapsing (feet still narrow), and of course super-skinny heels to go with that. Adjustability a must, especially with bunions and arthritic swelling fluctuations to adjust for. No slippage anywhere and straps not sticking out or flopping around after adjustment as with some brands. Feet happy at the end of the day with these(!). Sole supportive when recovering from foot procedures as well ( and don't want a 'floppy' sole).5Comfortable, but sole wears out super quickly.I walk many miles in a day, and was looking for comfortable walking sandals. These fit the bill, but I have to say the sole wears out very quickly. I got this pair to replace an identical pair I'd worn for about two months, not daily even, just when it was hot. In only two months time, the old pair had already developed a hole in the sole on the outer part of the heel. I supinate so my shoes always wear down in that area, but I was surprised at how quickly these wore through, especially given that the sole seems so thick and heavy. They didn't hurt my feet at least so I bought another pair. I'm still hoping to find a pair that is good for my supination problem, and will last a bit longer. Not easy to find since only 5% to 10% of the population supinate so shoemakers probably don't want to invest a lot in us. These are comfortable, but too expensive to only last two months.4I was completely pleased with these sandalsI was completely pleased with these sandals. I have a very wide foot and have a difficult time finding shoes or sandals that fit me properly. I also walk approximately 7 miles everyday. I did this all summer and the sandals were completely comfortable I never had any issues with them. I will definitely stay with this brand when it comes time to buy new sandals.5
