    Very poor quality and doesn't lastFull of leaks after 1 camping trip. Very poor quality and doesn't last. 1Nah....I bought 4 of these camping pads about 1 year ago, at first they were awesome and me and my family found them pretty comfy as far as camping pads go. (They will not self-inflate though properly, you will have to add air yourself via the valve.) They have been used quite a bit, I am going to put our camping needs at about 10 trips/year with say a couple of nights each trip and we camp in TX for the most part so they are not exposed to anything other than heat and at times rain if it is wet inside the tent.So 1 year later, the glue on 3 pads out of 4 is not longer holding at the valve (see the pic) and therefore the pad is not airtight and will deflate at night. I am 145lb and did not get very nice sleep during last camping trip, my kids 50 -70 lbs each sleep on these just fine during the warm season and do not complain. I would not buy again though. I tried to repair with superglue but it is pretty hard to make it completely tight and I hear the air is seeping out on those I 'repaired'. 1Just get itExcellent pad for a good night sleep.I use this pad on top of a cot, which works well to add a little extra padding.You do have to blow up the pillow, however it fills quickly. Under a minute of blowing. While you're at it, put a couple of extra breaths into the self inflating mattress. It's not required to manually blow up the mattress part, but if you want as much cushion as possible I recommend it.No issues with handling the weight. I am around 250 and it felt fine on a multi night campout. My girls like jumping and tumbling on it. It has been used over 10 nights for sleeping outside, in hotels etc..., always on top of a cot with no problems. 5The mat inflates nicely by itself and with a few extra breathsThe mat inflates nicely by itself and with a few extra breaths, it can obtain a comfortable firmness. I have always found Coleman products to be reliable and good quality, however, this mat is the exception. Upon using it for the first time, one of the straps ripped away from the pad where they were factory attached. With only one attached strap, it makes rolling the mat back up difficult and clumsy. I would ask for a replacement, but I bought this mat well before our trip and it has exceeded the 30 day return window. Very disappointed in the quality of this particular sleep pad. 3Great quality for the priceA great sleeping pad for car camping. A bit too heavy or bulky for trail hiking, and I think that the thickness is closer to 2 inches, rather than the advertised 2.5 inches. That said, it fits my 6 foot 1 inch, 250 pound. frame comfortably and I am happy with it. It will take about a half hour to self inflate, and then must be topped off with some lung power. Take note that the outer material is a bit slippery, which might cause you and your sleeping bag to slide off during the night. Sliding a bag liner over the pad might resolve this. I would definitely buy this again. 5Good heavy-duty pad for non-backpacking camping.This pad is pretty damn big and heavy, it is NOT all that good for backpacking. However, if you're driving to your campsite, this thing is nice and comfortable (you can adjust the firmness a bit by adding or removing a bit of air), and while it isn't "insulated," it still provides some decent insulation and prevents significant heat loss to the ground. The pillow isn't the best, but I bring along my own stand-alone travel pillow for that. The pad is also nice and wide, an important consideration for me.The materials and "build" quality seem to be excellent, and the strength exceeds specs (no problems holding a 350 lb man). I'm glad to see Coleman still makes some good quality bargain gear, even if their coolers are no longer what they used to be. 5The pad is nice but just beaware that you have to manually blow ...The pad is nice but just beaware that you have to manually blow up the pillow. It does not self inflate with the rest of the pad. 4A Really Comfy Night's Sleep.I am a youth pastor and I bought this pad specifically for overnight youth retreats where we sleep on floors and whatnot. I was particularly happy with the integrated pillow (one less thing to have to carry) Like all air mattresses, this one is not really self-inflating, you'll need to blow a bit to get it filled quickly. The pillow section completely requires inflation, not self-inflating at all. The pad is fairly thick and reasonably wide, which made for a good night sleep on a carpeted floor. I am 6' 0" tall and I was able to be completely on the pad - head to toe. The pillow is a little small for me, but comparable to any other travel pillow I might use, although that pillow would not be attached. The pad also has attached web straps for storage which is very convenient. I am also an avid hiker/mountaineer, familiar with technical hiking/camping gear. This pad is not meant for that kind of activity. This is really a car camping piece of equipment. The pad is quite heavy and fairly bulky, far more so than you would ever want in your pack. If you are driving in to a campground, need something for that unexpected house guest, or are sleeping on a floor in your church with a bunch of high schoolers for a weekend, then you can't go wrong with this sleeping pad. 5Some leaks after a few usesI liked this pad the first few times I used it. Unfortunately by the fifth time I woke finding myself on the ground. There was a pinhole sized leak near the vent. I patched it and figured it would be fine. The next use I got another hole on the opposite side, same place. The material keeps rubbing or hitting the inner plastic of the vent and I get holes. I love all Coleman products I have. Their name usually gives me confidence in the product, but I was not happy with this one. 2Very nice padding (will tame some pretty mean roots that might ...Very nice padding (will tame some pretty mean roots that might otherwise impale). The only downsides I see about this product at this point are that it really should be given 24hrs. for the first inflate to fully get the maximum loft, and then good luck rolling it back up that tightly :). Also, it is a little heavy (if backpacking), although this is not a problem if not going very far with it. Overall, a good product and very comfortable. 4
