Buy Their Competitor'sThe main reason I am giving these a 1 star review is that they fall down. There are a lot of competitors for knee pads on Amazon and most of the other ones have a gel/silicon at the top of the knee pad to prevent them moving or falling down on your thigh. These do not have them and its really annoying to have to adjust them every 5 minutes when playing basketball.I am 5 '11 and 210 lb. I have an XL and it fits just fine, but I don't know how you would keep these up on your thighs if you had even smaller legs than me because I had a real problem with them shifting/falling down when playing basketball.I'm going to buy more of the competitors brand since I played in them and that gel/silicon really helps keep the pads in place where I went from adjusting them every 5-10 minutes of play to about once mid-way through a 2 hour session of basketball. 1Held up longer than expectedI actually bought these in early 2019 when my son was 7.5 (size small) but it was too loose so we waited till the summer to use it. He's 8 now and though it sometimes slip down, it's pretty effective. He's been using it for 3 months with games at least 3 out of 4 weekends every month and practice twice a week and so far, after every wash it still looks pretty new. He loves sliding on the floor sometimes so I'm surprised it hasn't ripped yet. So it's both surprising seeing reviews say it rips after one or two uses, and it also surprises me it's lasted this long. I wonder if it's because it's lightweight so there's not enough pressure to cause it to rip. Would probably buy again but buy the shorter version of the knee pads. 5Very good coverage and flexibilityBought these for my 14 year old daughter. HS rules state all players must wear the same color knee pads so black was her only option, but everyone else has the McDavid and she has these instead. The separate pieces that make up the pad are fairly thick but very flexible. She likes them for freedom of movement and I like that they are thicker to help protect her knees. When I measured her she actually measured on the low end of the XL, but after she tried them on, she said they were too loose so I ordered L and they fit great. The return on these is fantastic and super easy. I actually ordered and returned two pair before we settled on these and my refund was quick. I highly recommend this product and this seller! 5recently changed style, still great valueWe tried these last year because we were tired of spending twice as much on McDavid kneepads several times per basketball season because the McDavid kneepads tore quite easily. My daughter perfers the McDavid ones because they don't cover as much leg as the coolomg ones, but my boys prefer these. It's just a personal preference thing.The kneepad itself has changed design. They used to be just like the McDavid: small cylindrical pads arranged to cover the knee area. These seemed to tear quite easily, and some of the pads would fall out. This design seemed to allow natural movement, but it wasn't very durable. The new coolomg ones we got has a completely different pad design: it's a one-piece pad with raised spherical bumps. In theory, this wouldn't seem to move as naturally, but my son didn't notice any difference. It also seems to offer better impact protection because there is always a layer of foam covering the knee. So far, it also seems to be holding up better and hasn't torn despite a couple tournament weekends (8 games total) despite some hard crashes.The only downside I see is the cuff no longer has a rubberized/grippy section to keep it from slipping. There will be some normal adjustments during game play, but the jury is out on this one.Overall, the price alone means I will continue to buy these. Construction seems on par with McDavid, and they are just as durable, and perhaps more so with the new pad design. Understand they will rip/tear at some point, and will need to be replaced. At half the cost, or less, it's a no brainer. 42nd time to order- great productThis is the 2nd pair of COOLOMG knee guards we ve purchased- for my younger son this time! Both my boys love these and even after months and months of wear and washes- they aren t torn or stretched out. I wash them with socks/underwear on a hot setting but never dry them. I hang-dry them and they dry within 30 mins. Great product for the price! 5Good ProductAs before, the product is well made and was delivered in a timely manner. This was a re-order because my previously ordered pair wound up being too small for my son's knees when I went by the chart. The size chart they have posted for the product is not accurate to the measurements listed in it.My advice to anyone buying this product is to make sure you buy the next size up from the one the chart says will fit you. 4XS great for youthThese are great! I got the XS for my 6 year old daughter for basketball and she loves them. They fit fine, "are just like Steph Curry's," and let her get on the floor to go after loose balls. She enjoys sliding across the floor in them and we've had no issues yet. She's worn them about 10 times so far and they've held up well. 5I highly recommend these knee pads to anyone that plays basketballI ordered 3 pairs of these for 3 of my children who play basketball. All of the different sizes fit my children well. I ordered a XS for my 9 year old, a small for my 12 year old and a medium for my 14 year old. All of these fit well without them being too tight on their legs. The inside of the top opening has some non-slip type lining. This prevented the knee pads from slipping down while they play basketball. I never saw my kids having to readjust these knee pads during a game. Once they were put on they stayed in place. Between all 3 of my kids they played over 70 games and there was no ripping, stretching out or holes of any sort. I highly recommend these knee pads to anyone that plays basketball. I also had a lot of parents ask me where I purchased these from and I directed them to here. They in turn purchased this brand for their kids and I have had positive feedback from two others parents. I will purchase these again, if the ever wear out. 5Best fit, most comfortable for 100 lb 13 year oldUpdate: Sept 17,2019My son is now 5,6 , and about 110. The medium still fit fine. He is a slim build, with long legs, so a less slim build boy may find these tight. We will likely go up one size this winter for him. But these have lasted well through 32 travel games, and a full Rec league season. He wears them to practice and games, so 3 to 4 days per week.Original March 30, 2019My oldest is almost 13, he weighs just under 100 lbs and is 5 3.5 s. The size medium fit him perfectly. I was concerned with him being at the upper weight range, these would be tight. He says they are his most comfortable pair of knee pads.He plays with an aggressive style, and is not affraid to go to the foot for a loose ball. I worry, because he needs his knees for the rest of his life. I feel much better with him playing in these legging style knee pads. They are comfortable, so he doesn t mind doing it. I ve also noticed more and more kids wearing them, so that s a plus.
