    So far so good with this padInflated it and left it alone for 5 days, checked forleaks, blew less than a quarter breath to max inflation. Slept on it inside 3 season mummy bag for one night on hardwood floor. It held up to 200 pound weight. Never felt the wood floor all night with my tossing and turning. Blew into it less than one eighth breath to max inflation. Definitely ready for weekend car camping for final check before hitting trails this summer with it. It packs so small, smaller than my quart Naglene water bottle and so light. My first sleeping pad is original Thermarest and it is still awesome after 20 years. Second is also Thermarest but lighter and very expensive. This EcoTek pad is 1/10 the cost of second thermarest, 1/3 the weight and 1/2 the size deflated. I am sure the insulation property will not be same as thermarest colder ground in fall and winter. Am excited to try it this summer. 5100% worth every cent you spendAs a hammock camper there is always a huge problem with losing heat beneath you due to the open air and compression of your sleeping bag. A lot of campers use a foam mat to prevent the heat loss, so I decided to try an inflatable air mat, and it worked beautifully!Starting from the top:-Inflation is super quick and easy with a one way valve, less than a minute and this bad boy is ready to take me away to Dreamland so I can recharge to tackle the next day.-when set inside my hammock, this helps keep the shape of the hammock so it doesn't cocoon around my body as much as it normally would. This is good, I enjoy looking at the stars and having visibility of any super ninja Pennsylvanian black bears that may be trying to sneak up and eat my man flesh!-One slight problem is that if I fidget, the mat may slide out from under me ever so slightly, but my hammock doesn't include a mat insert, and this mat doesn't boast that it won't slip, so it retains it's five star rating.-This insulates the hammock as I wished it did. I don't even think it boasts that anywhere in the item description, but it does it fabulously.-Deflation is super easy -- Open the valve and most of the air escapes, poke the valve in a little bit to prop it open, fold the sides in towards the middle, roll from the toe to the head, and the remaining air effortlessly eacapes. The included stuff sack then holds this bad boy in place in my bag so I don't have to worry about it taking up extra room and messing with the packing methods I employ.One additional pro to purchasing this, is that it comes with a patch, just in case.Overall, 5/5 would recommend this. I actually already have to my brother! Definitely worth every dollar I spent, which isn't a lot! 5Very comfortable and durable sleeping pad for the moneyThe Hybern8 is quite comfy for my 5'8" 150# frame...when inflated properly I don't bottom out when side sleeping. Also I like the width...that extra couple of inches you get adds to the overall comfort as you don't feel like you are sleeping on a rail especially whenside sleeping.This pad is easy to inflate (about 12 puffs) and is equally easy to quickly deflate completely and can be rolled or folded into a small package for storing. I actually really like its 2.2 inch thickness as it allows my arms to hang off the pad at more comfortable angles- but that's me! Finally the pad is reasonably light and is durably constructed and should work well for late spring thru early fall backpacking pending an individuals particular needs...I am sure for me this pad will suffice in early spring thru fall conditions in Utahs high country. 5arrived fine, packaged finewell here's the catch. if i rate it now, i haven't even used it yet (on the trail), but if i wait 'til i do, i'll probably forget to come back & leave a rating. So here's what i'll say about it. arrived fine, packaged fine, cool little pouch, says takes 15 breaths to inflate fully (which doesn't sound like much until you start blowing) anyway i think i did it in 12 breaths, laid on it & it's very comfortable. i like the one way valve, so you don't have to pinch it off every time you take a breath. i'd say 98% of the air comes out when you open valve & the rest comes out when you start rolling it up. you do have to finger the one way valve (flap) a little bit to get the rest of the air out. 4Excellent Lightweight sleeping pad. DMI spent many hours trying to decide on a sleeping pad. I finally pulled the trigger on this one. My self inflating mattress is 5.5 pounds, but worth the comfort? I am taking a 40 mile backwoods hiking trip this summer so I wanted something nice. So many reviews seem fake for mats out there, but I figured that Amazon has a great return policy so I got this one to try. I love it. It is twice as comfortable as my bigger thicker pad. I am a side sleeper and this just cradles my shoulders. It also fits into my mummy bag. I like this because I turn a lot in my sleep. With it in the bag, the bag stays put and the mat stays under me. I will post an update after my hiking trip.It comes with a small patch for a leak. I am going to look into buying a backup just in case. I don't want to sleep on the ground.Pros:It took me 12 breaths to fill it. Un-inflating and rolling it so it fit back in the package was easy.Fits into my mummy bag.Very QuietThis weighs slightly over a pound. DM 5Great after-purchase experienceGreat pad. Now that s the kind of company I like to buy from. 5Finally a good nights sleepThis is my third sleeping pad I have purchased for backpacking. I only wish this had been my first! I spent three times the amount of money for the each of the other two I bought by Thermarest and they do not compare in comfort or size to this EcoTek Outdoors Hybern8 Ultralight Inflatable. I am 61 years old and love backpacking but I need the support on my hips and my shoulders to sleep at night. This sleeping pad supported me without my body grinding into the ground. One night I slept with the pad inside my sleeping bag and the next night I slept on top of the pad. Either way worked great. It was really easy to inflate, just a few shorts breathes. It also deflated quickly which is fantastic for packing up quickly. I was disappointed to say the least. I only used my mouth to inflate so I do not know what happened. On the plus side it was very light. Too bad it didn't hold air. 2the best investment! I camp multiple times a year at ...Seriously, the best investment! I camp multiple times a year at both festivals and in the woods. I even spend four days living out of a canoe each summer, so I was in search of something for awhile that was compact yet comfortable. Not only was this compact and ridiculously easy to set up, (just unbag, unroll and a few breathes to inflate it) but it kept the air all four days of the festival I just returned from and it was super comfortable! Also, if poured on us and a little bit of water got into my tent on Sunday night but because I was on the mat, my sleeping bag and myself woke up dry with just a small bit of dampness to the underside of the mat. I'm telling you, I've tried everything from large uncomfortable cots (they're hard and hurt your hips if your a side sleeper) to dealing with bulky air mattresses that deflate each and every night when the temperature fluctuates, to foam padding or even my moon mat. Nothing met my needs the way this product did. I would recommend it to all! 5Does not hold air with regular useI purchased this pad for a month long camping trip. It packs nice and small and is light. When I first used it, I was thoroughly impressed. It was pretty comfy considering its size. Not even 2 weeks into my trip the pad would not hold any air. I am not a heavy or large person. It could not even hack camping for 2 weeks. I bought it for the good reviews and customer service. When I came back from my trip, I wrote the company and they gave me a form. I completed the form and sent it back and haven't heard from them for over a month. I don't think I should be begging for assistance. This would be a good sleeping pad if your doing glamping, or have the means to keep the pad protected and away from elements that resemble any sort of camping. 1
