    Great for fishing!!!!!!I wanted a pair of polarized glasses since I go fishing just about every week but I didn't want to pay a lot. What a difference these make. I can see so much more fish through the water. The colors really stand out and it makes spotting fishing whether I'm on a boat or wade fishing which I do a lot of. They fit great on my head.I compared them to my friends Costas. They are not as good but surprisingly there is not an extreme difference. They have the same tint coloring although the Costas are darker and more comfortable. But to see through the water to spot fish these are not too far behind the Costas.Pros- Inexpensive- Visibility in the water is wonderful- Colors are vivid- you wownt cry if you break themCons- Cheaper plastic- the main thing. The nose rests are uncomfortableI recommend these to everyone if they are looking for a main pair to wear all the time or just to have as a back up. 5I have designer sun glasses that cost nearly 8x as much as these Flying Fisherman and they are not as comfortable and not as effI use my glasses mainly for driving. I have designer sun glasses that cost nearly 8x as much as these Flying Fisherman and they are not as comfortable and not as effective at improving visibility in bright sunlight. One thing I've noticed about the Flying Fisherman glasses is that they not only reduce the amount of bright sunlight, but they make things brighter. I know that sounds contradictory, but I guess the polarizing effects of the glasses cuts glare which makes the visual field brighter. When the tint on my designer glasses got scratched, I was pretty upset. If this happens with the Flying Fisherman, I will just purchase another. You can't beat the price. I realize that everyone has different head size/facial contours, so the glasses may not fit as well on someone else. I think they are made to fit most heads comfortably, but if your head is extra large or extra small, you may want to purchase from a source where you can try it on before you buy. The lens on these glasses are narrower top to bottom than most of the others so if you want maximum coverage you might want to choose a different design. The black rim keeps the lens from contacting your face, making it less likely to fog. These Flying Fisherman glasses are GREAT! 5Beware the Cabo SkunkI absolutely love Flying Fisherman glasses and now own about 10-12 pairs. The polarization is so nice in different situations especially around water or sometimes driving. The price is clearly amazing. The only downside is some (particularly my last Cabo pair which look so cool) have a skunk odor. I literally had a coworker apologize last week thinking it was related to skunk incident with his dog. I am hopeful it will die down but wow, they need to change their chemicals. It can be rough. 4... brand sunglasses for a few years and it seems like I have to replace them every 6 months due ...I've been wearing Ugly Stick brand sunglasses for a few years and it seems like I have to replace them every 6 months due to scratches and worn out hinges. Last year I decided to give these Flying Fisherman a try. I will never buy a different pair again. I wear them fishing, swimming (pool & ocean), mowing and trimming the yard. In the year I've owned them, they have never one been scratched or broken and I'm not easy on my shades. I've wiped yard clippings from lenses with t-shirt and no scratches. I've had lasik surgery done so I'm pretty sensitive to light and these sunglasses block the brightest of days, even on the beach in Florida. I'm back now buying my second pair because I just mine in the ocean on vacation and want them in my mail box when I get back. Awesome product!!!! 5Previous purchase was a much better product.Purchased a couple pairs 2 years ago and they were great, this pair is obviously made cheaper or quality control failed inspection as the lense is loose to the touch and falls out many times as the glasses are set down. I cant rely on them staying together in the field when my hands might be dirty and cant pop the lense back into the frame in a timely manner which unfortunately is where i really need them. Guess one gets what they pay for. 3Great glasses for the price!I love these glasses so much I've bought 4! But not because the broke or I had to, I just wanted the back ups since I work overseas and would hate to settle for some other glasses. They are polarized which is great, look like a nice pair of Maui's or Oakley's and are priced right! I used to buy Oakley's and would be so worried about scratching or losing them, with these I get everything I had with the Oakley's except the worry because I didn't spend $100+ on them! 5Great Value for the MoneyI've owned a pair that cost me $180, and while they were no doubt the nicest most comfortable and effective pair of sunglasses I have ever owned, every nick, drop, or scratch drove me nuts. Paying $180 for that kind of torment, that at least for me is bound to happen, just wasn't worth it. Since then I've never been a fan of expensive sun glasses.The only reason I rated this product a 4 and not a 5 is because they are certainly not on par with Oakley's, Costa's, or RayBan's; and I wouldn't want anyone to think you get anywhere near that kind of quality for $20. That's like expecting Cadillac quality when purchasing a Kia. They both do the same exact task, get you to point A to point B effectively, one simply does it with a lot more quality, comfort, and style than the other. But if someone dings the car door at the grocery store of my $15k Kia, it hurts a lot less than my $60k Cadillac.That said, they do a great job of blocking glare, are comfortable enough to wear all day, and look good. Which, in my mind at least, is everything a good pair of cheap sunglasses should do. If I drop them or scratch them, I won't lose 10 minutes off the duration of my life being p.o.'ed at myself.Even while kayaking Tampa Bay under the bright Florida sun my eye's were relaxed in these, which says a lot because my light blue eye's have always been particularly sensitive to sun light. If you need a pair of cheap sun glasses these are great. 4Child sized and NOT flying fishermen qualityThese were not advertised as child sized, but they were. In fact they were a little smaller than the child sized pairs I bought at Walmart for a couple dollars, and the quality wasn t much better. I ve purchased flying fishermen sunglasses before and the were far better quality in fact the best sun glasses I ve ever had. These seem so cheap that I seriously wonder if they aren t actually flying fishermen glasses. 1Two years and still going strong...After my husband spent over $300 on a pair of sunglasses and broke them within a week I went on Amazon and purchased him three pairs of cheapie sunglasses. The other two pairs were gone within months. I purchased these glasses over two years ago. This is the longest he has ever owned a pair of sunglasses without breaking them. He wears them biking, backpacking, driving, doing yard work, working on his car, fixing things, etc... Maybe someday he'll even get to wear them fishing. He has never put them in a case, he constantly drops them, looses them, chucks them off the tractor, drops them in the pool and forgets about them, and my daughter is constantly ripping them off his head and throwing them across the room... yet they are still here. I would say he has an average sized head. Most normal baseball hats fit him just right. I don't think these would fit a person with a large head. No glare or distortion. Polarization is a plus! I'm back to buy a back-up pair. 5NOT Amber lenses, smell like burnt plasticMy previous pair of Flying Fisherman sunglasses were bought in 2015 & the soft rubber pieces are starting to show their age, so I was happy to buy another pair of this brand. Unfortunately, the "Flying Fisherman Sea Star Polarized Sunglasses" were no longer available.I ordered the "Shiny Black Frames/Amber-Green Mirror Lenses" version of these. When they arrived, they smelled like burnt plastic, plus the lenses were not amber with green mirror, they're multiple shades in the lenses, with green mirror. Maybe 1/4" of the top & bottom edges are amber, but the middle is a pink lens. I have no intention of "seeing the world through rose colored glasses". These were bought to use as polarized driving sunglasses so I could better see in the dawn fog. Since they're not fully amber lenses, they're useless for me. Since they smell like burnt plastic, they're trash. 1
