Bags are very good and Freegrace customer service excellentUPDATE: Freegrace contacted me, unsolicited, after reading my review. I accepted their offer to send me a replacement cellphone dry bag free of charge. I am very impressed with their level of customer service. It is refreshing dealing with a smaller, family-owned business for a change.I should clarify that before the cellphone dry bag broke, I tested it twice. With a Kleenex tissue inside, I put it under running water in my sink and submerged in a vase of water. It passed both tests 100%. And, after receiving Freegrace's e-mail, I did a little research on the company and products and found them very highly rated overall.So, I updated my review accordingly, from 3 stars to 5 stars.Original: Bag is very good but I bought it because it came with a free waterproof camera case, but the camera case broke before I could even use it. The circular closure lever came apart and piece got lost, so it was useless. We were in the parking lot of a river tubing location when it fell apart, and I was planning to use it that day. Very disappointing. 5Did its just job after repairs on its initial run.I have several of this brands 10L bags and love them. I ordered the 35-50L for some camping gear on a recent kayak trip. Before the trip started the bag already had a hole in, a decent size one. I am not sure where the hole came from but it took barely any abuse at all before loading it up on the kayak. Luckily we had some duct tape to tape up the inside and outside of it before we began and my gear stayed dry even when briefly submerged. For the price, its decent, but if you are wanting a larger bag, spend a few more bucks and get a nicer brand. 3GOOD SO FARWell I can't attest to how water tight the bag is as I only bought the 2 L for my backpack . I use it as my emergency dry sack for first aid items and basic items to stay alive in the event that I had to dump my big pack and run. I toss it in my tent with me at night so the orange color is a good thing. I know most people use these on the water kayaking and what not that could give you better feed back as to how water tight it is but I can tell you that it is very well made and much better than the old clear velcro bag I previously had. As for the water proof phone case , I opted to not chance it . They make water proof phones now so a fancy bag isn't going to convince me that my 800 dollar smart phone will be good. 4This bag is unquestionably water proofThis is my first dry bag besides the Ziploc that I usually use, The material is nice and feels surprisingly strong for how thin it is. The phone case is actually my favorite of the two simply because it seems like it was made for my phone. I have an iPhone 7s plus with an otter box case and the fit couldn't have been more perfect. The sealing/locking mechanism is flawless, I like that I can feel it sealing as I close the locks for that extra piece of mind. The larger bag is just as good. Although I haven't owned a dry bag, I have used plenty of them and this one is by far the best when it comes to the seal. Most drybags are only good for a quick dunk but after about 30 to 60 seconds, fully submerged, the water finds its way in. This bag does not let water in period! It has a double Ziploc style seal at the top, right inside the opening, and on top of that it has a stiff roll top like most compression dry bags. The zip style seal is made of some type of thick rubber or plastic material, it is flexible but still extremely solid. The seal took me a few minutes to figure out because of how thick and tight the seal grooves are but once I got it I could clearly see that is was sealed. I found the best way to do it was to pinch the center together first then work my way to either side rather then starting from one side and going to the other, like I do with my sandwich bag. I just used it for the first time yesterday, my mom and I took kayaks up to the lake to do some fishing. What went in the bag; sweatshirt, thin windbreaker, wallet, keys, slingshot, and a small tub of glass marbles. With that I was still able to roll the top 3 times and clip it together for the final seal. I like to test things I buy so that's exactly what I did. The bag floated good enough that It was slightly difficult to hold it under water, about as difficult as my life jacket, so yep it floats. I tied a 15lb anchor to it and let the entire bag sit about a foot beneath the water for at least 30 minutes but probably closer to an hour, not a drop of water was inside after I shook it off and opened it. The phone case is not meant to float, only to be water proof. I had the string on the case tied to the side of my kayak and the case, with my phone inside, stayed under water beside my kayak for nearly 5 hours while we fished only taking it out for a few seconds about every half hour to make sure water hadn't leaked in. Again, not a drop. I VERY rarely write reviews bucause the majority of items I buy are either not worth reviewing or are not something that's able to be tested in such a way as this. I'm more then happy with these bags, looks, feel, and performance. I feel confident enough that I would recommend them to family or friends. And if I ever need another or a larger bag, this will be the brand I buy again. If during the next couple of uses something happens with the bags, I will update or rereview them. Fingers crossed that I won't have to though. 5Great bagBought these for a whitewater canoe trip. We got swamped a few times but everything was dry. We had some help righting the canoe and the guys had unclipped the big bag and placed it on the rocks it we didn't know it had tipped over into the water. Other bags would have been filled with water but the locking part kept it all dry. The smaller of the bags did take a very small amount of water but my friend hadn't made sure the very ends of the lock were 100% closed. I did get some complements on them. My son used the phone bag and even swam with it on his phone was dry . You do need to be careful it has a small bar on the inside of the bag I almost lost . Like any bag going from a cold house to a hot environment there was some condensation . 5This is a MUST HAVE!!This waterproof bag is incredibly helpful if you are ever near water and want to keep your personal items dry! I have used it Kayaking several times in the Salt River and have never had a drop of water on my cell phone or other items in the bag. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.Update - I have Kayaked the river, lake, floated, smashed, thrown, and put this through the test and its amazing. It always keeps me items dry and works just as advertised. I plan to get more. 5... bag on our backpacking trips and it has worked great. It has a little loop hook for us ...I purchased this bag to use as a bear bag on our backpacking trips and it has worked great. It has a little loop hook for us to attach a string and it is very lightweight for backpacking. We put a medium sized BaseCamp Odor-Barrier Bag into it and it works great to hold all our food for a 3 day trip. So far the food has stayed dry in many rainstorms hanging from a tree. 5Perfect for kayaking.No problems. Good transaction. Seller even contacted me later to make sure I was happy. Good seller. Tested it and it is indeed waterproof and floats. Good price and a must if you boat or kayak. Having lost car keys to the bottom of a lake I consider this money well spent for boaters. It's a tad hard to get open but it does need that strong seal to be waterproof. Nothing worth knocking a star off over. I've noticed it's easiest to manipulate the bag when it's been in the sun and is warm. It opens easier. Overall, good product. Happy. 5Must have waterproof bag!This bag worked perfectly! Everything inside stayed perfectly dry! I purchased the 10L size and it held 2 towels, 2 bottles of sunscreen, wallets, car keys, a hat, and the first aid kit and we still had plenty of room! Also, this size fit perfectly on the front of my kayak!The cell phone pouch that was included also worked like a dream! I completely submerged it and my phone was perfectly dry and unharmed! Also, I was able to have full function of my touchscreen and camera while in the pouch!Overall, great buy! I will definitely purchase again! 5Worked great!!Took this floating down the river and not a single drop of water got into the bag, even though it was strapped to the side of my raft and in the water the ENTIRE time. 5
