Non-directional cookie line markers are used to mark a specific place on the line, but do not give directional information. Line cookies attaches to the safety line placed through the cave tunnels or passage ways of a wreck keeping the divers safe even if they disturb the sediments and visibility is lost. Highland by XS Scuba Line Cookies are made from durable strong non-corrosive plastic material for years of safe-diving. The Highland Line Cookies are available in white and a glow-in-the-dark" version for low light conditions. The line cookies come in a pack of 10. Cookies measure (Dia. x D) 2.16" x 0.15" (5.48cm x 0.38cm).Sometimes a directional marker (line arrow) is not the proper marker to leave -- Non-directional cookies mark a specific place on the line, but do not give directional information. They are preferred over line arrows for setting up traverses or circuits because they avoid the possibility of having directional markers on the line which could point away from the closest exit, which could be disastrous in an emergency. They can also offer reassurance during stressful moments. They are a must at jumps, especially jumps made from points at which no permanent marker has been installed. Placed on the outbound side of the jump, they confirm exit direction as divers return to the jump.
