Buy these sunglasses, you won t be sorry!Picture it. You have a 6 year old, going on 16, who is desperate for a pair of sunglasses for her birthday. She doesn t want baby sunglasses , she wants a pair of glasses that will make her look cool and grown up. The responsible adult in me wants to also make sure that these cool and grown up sunglasses are polarized and will actually protect her eyes from the sun. Easier said than done, or so I thought, until I found the Kids Flexible Rubber Sunglasses made by Optix55. Not only were they stylish, but the fact that they were rubberized meant that I wasn t going to quickly face replacing a broken pair of shades. On top of that, they are indeed polarized! Needless to say I made my selection and placed an order. Shipping was quick (shoutout to Amazon Prime), and they were EXACTLY what I expected! Fast forward to her birthday and I had one VERY HAPPY 6 year old who, upon opening her gift, immediately put her new sunglasses on and proceeded to admire her reflection in the mirror for a solid 20 minutes. Since then, they are the first thing she grabs when she leaves the house and they have remained in perfect shape. I highly recommend!5Who is writing these good reviews?I ordered two pairs of these glasses due to the great reviews. Big mistake. These are listed as near indestructible, but that's not what I received today. I opened the box and the red pair had one lens already popped out. I popped it back in, but that is a sure sign this problem will continue. Out of curiosity, I wriggled the green pair and guess what? The lens popped out. These were for two kids 6 and under, so you know they will get a little wear and tear. If the lenses pop out this easily, then they will just be junk in no time. They go back tomorrow. We have bought kid sunglasses before which have always broke after a few times. Time after time we'd buy him sunglasses just for him to bend them and break them at the hinges (because toddlers are awesome and they don't care how much they cost). After reading some of the reviews on here and seeing that they were flexible we decided to give them a shot. It surprises me how much he can bend them and they still haven't broken yet. The downside to most others are that they're a harder plastic material so they would break at the hinge(typically the bottom piece). Not these and the lenses still look great. If only I could get him to stop chewing on them.....but even still they hold up to him just fine. I don't foresee him needing another pair for at least another 6 months from now.
