    Kryptonite Muy decepcionado de esta marca de candado y de NYPD 1DO NOT BUY!!! READ REVIEWS!I paid $100 to buy "the best" product out there so my property would not be stolen. The first time I went to unlock it... it stuck... it WOULD NOT OPEN!!! Now my $20k new tractor was useless unless I figured it out or cut the chain. Upon reading reviews... COMMON PROBLEM!!! They will not accept return since 30 days has passed. Their "warranty" is useless if you read the fine print... by the time it's all said and done, you MIGHT get a new lock for another $100 after paying shipping and them deducting "fees" and you STILL CAN'T TRUST THAT YOU WILL NOT HAVE A FAULTY PRODUCT which causes you to be unable to unlock it and waste valuable time & resources. RIDICULOUS!!!! WILL NEVER EVER BUY A KRYPTONITE PRODUCT. They were ready for my complaint and didn't do squat to make it right... $100 down the drain! 1Bad Mo FoThis chain and lock is no joke. Heavy and practically screams F off! Bought it to secure my new scooter. I'm glad I goth this length and not the shorter 3' one. 5Great for a motorcycle but too big for a bicycle..This chain can definitely protect you from thieves... as well as tanks and artillery. This thing is a beast! I think this chain would work best with my motorcycle rather than my bicycle. This chain is much bigger than I expected and barely fits between the spokes on my bicycle wheels. Its also quite unwieldy and troublesome to use with something so lightweight. If you are looking for a great chain to lock your motorcycle, then this is for you. If you are looking for something for a bicycle, then go for the Kryptonite Evolution 4 chain. Its much lighter and easier to use with a bicycle. 4WORTHLESS SEE PICS!!! I parked my bike outside of my school for about 45 minutes. I chained it around a light pole.when I was walking back to get my bike , I saw this pice of sh#t of human being right next to my bike cutting the lock using a hand saw. Luckily i didn't take to long dealing with my financial aid and I was able to get back to my bike sooner than expected. If I have taken 5 minutes longer I wouldn't find my bike. 1Got cut right throughI know bike theft is bad in urban areas, especially places like NYC, and I suspected it was similar in SF, but this lock didn t last a month. Too heavy to bring with you, so if the idea is long term protection, it ought to hold up. 1Deceptive advertisingJust got this and read the documents. I went into this knowing the insurance would be mostly useless. I was right. First: the $3,750 is actually $2,000. Second: It s only free for a year. Third: It s only applied to the deductible minimum amount translation if you have 1000 deductible, you are only getting $1000. Fourth: Must give copy of police report within 7 days (Like they re ever going to move that fast for anything but a donut sale). Fifth: If they take your lock with them, don t count on payment.Blatantly misleading advertising, don t fall for it or count on it. For these reasons alone, I give it 0 stars regardless of how well/poor it performs. Truth in advertising people! 1Lock broke in within 4 weeksJust after 2 weeks of using it, i noticed that the lock was getting harder and harder to open...i put some oil on it...yesterday i had my morotcycle parked and locked and when trying to get it, the lock just would not open...after almos 20 min i finally could open it and unchain my motorcycle...i will not use it again bc clearly i may not be able to unlock my motorcycle next time. now i have a 150$ chain and lock that i cannot use. it is the second time this happens to me with this brand locks. 1It's worth it just to frustrate thieves.This chain and lock was the only protection between over three thousand dollars of bicycles and a bike thief with a pair of bolt cutters. The end result was the attached photo- there were a few cuts to the plastic coating without any real damage to the lock itself. The bikes were left unharmed. A neighbor who had locked up his bikes with a simple cable lock wasn't so lucky.This lock is extremely heavy and it can damage the paint job to your bike if you're not careful. Other than those caveats, this is perfect for garages in high theft areas. 5
