    Great pants, but make sure to learn how to tie them.When I first got these I saw that they were gigantic (like, think 500 lb dude gigantic) and got really sad, thinking they messed up the order. Then I remembered they were labeled one size fits all. I figured there had to be a trick to it and looked up Thai fisherman pants. Surely enough, they need a special folding/tying technique. After I learned how to do that, they fit fine.I wear them at yoga all the time now. They look badass and are mad-comfy.4Beautiful, well made, great valueI originally gave these pants 4 stars because they seemed way too big and I am a woman who wears XLR pants. But since reading other reviews, I discovered there is a trick to tucking and tying these pants......so I looked on YouTube and sought out instructions. Instead of just gathering the fabric up around ones waist which made a bulky unattractive appearance, I discovered you're supposed to float and tuck the fabric to the side. I tried this and the pants fit great and look very becoming. The fabric is beautiful, soft and a sturdy dense weave. The workmanship is high quality with good sticking all around...no exposed reveled seams. I really like them and will buy more for gifts and recommend to others. They are a very good value for the money. I would recommend that the seller include instructions on how to wear them. Perhaps they do though I did not see them in the package I received. 5Comfortable, fits good!I am 5ft 10inches tall, with 34 inch waist. The material is good, and comfortable. The pants fits well, but I feel that I had just enough room to make the pants fold in the picture, before making the knot. If a person with a larger waist should get this, it would definitely fit, but there wouldn't be too much of a fold, and maybe just tightening with knot. 5Comfortable but not as "free size" as they claimAfter watching a few internet videos to figure out how to tie them I finally got them on and secured properly but I have to say they aren't as "free sized" as they really should be. They say they fit up to something like a 52 inch waist... Well, I have a 39-40 inch waist and I can JUST BARELY get the ties to tie together. The pants themselves absolutely are large enough to accommodate larger people, however the stitching where the two different colored fabrics may be snug on those with larger buttocks, I am one of those people who almost totally lack rear padding and that stitching is noticably closer (not tight but smaller than the free sized waist). 4AwesomeAbsolutely love these! Would recommend these for sure!5Thai Fisherman Pants-great value, comfortable and stylishMens' yoga shorts/pants run $40-$60+. Being on the prowl for an economical alternative, I discovered these and read a bunch of the reviews and decided to try them out. I wore these to a hot yoga class, not knowing what to expect. I got many compliments! Both men and women were asking about where I got them and wanted some.When putting these on, ties go to the back. Pull up material. Gather at the left side and fold back. Hold in place. Grab ties from back and bring around to the front and tie firmly with a simple bow knot. Pull material above ties over and down. You will get the hang of these fairly quickly.These are supposedly "one size fits all" or "free size", according to the listing description. I am a male, size 38, and they fit me really well. I do wish the ties were longer. With that said, I have not had any embarrassing mishaps where the ties suddenly became untied and the pants fell down to the ankles. The limiting factor is the length of the ties, not the pant waist dimensions. So, if you could extend the ties with a similar or complimentary color material, (the ties don't show, other than where they might hang in front, so ideally, any extension should originate from the back) or just replacing the ties with some other longer ties, then these could accommodate much larger waists, perhaps as much as 50" or more. The actual waist opening is 54". The legs of course, are quite wide, about 27" at the ankle, allowing easy movement in all asanas. These would also work well for most martial arts, tai chi, or even to wear during the hot summer months instead of jeans or shorts.The material is cotton. It is not rough, but has a nice texture to it and an interesting weave. It is light, but dense enough that it is not see-through, so no worries there. It is very absorbent. During my hot yoga practice, it absorbed a lot of sweat, but always felt comfortable, never clammy.There is a decent sized pocket on the right thigh, just off to the side, 7.75" wide x 7.5" deep or so.The quality of the sewing is outstanding. No, really, these are excellent and unique pants. Seams are smooth, even and without extra threads hanging about.What a deal! They are truly a bargain, especially with free shipping from...Thailand!!! I will have to ask the seller if they can add some other colors. I bought 4 different pairs and really love them.Gentle Wash in cold water, minimum soap or use Woolite. Line dry or cool dry.Delivery from Thailand can take a couple weeks or so. If you are a little bit adventurous, get these pants. You will not be disappointed! 5Nice, will order more colorsThese arrived yesterday, so haven't been worn for an extended period yet. The fabric is nicer quality than I expected. It's a heavier weight gauzy material in the legs and more of a cotton on the waist. And yes you can see light through these if you hold them up to a window but it's nothing that you should be worried about with normal wear. Colors are a very close match to the photos. Seams seem to be well made and overall the pants are better than I expected for $9. I'm 5'4" and if folded a certain way these pants are pant length but I can also fold up the top more to have them capri's. Remember to wash these separately and hang to dry and you will be just fine. I love these as a modest alternative to leggings! 5Super casual and rather uniqueI thought 'For $13 I will take a chance'I'm ver pleased.They are very weird in terms of how to get them on. I had to get instructions online here. And although weird, they are not difficult. I would not have figured this out on my own. They are quite comfortable, light, loose, and somehow or another the little pocket always ends up situated perfectly over my right thigh. It is LITTLE!A few notes:No fly.Start with the tie-strings in the back (counter-interuitive, but that's how they work).I bought the green on green version, but they don't quite look like they do in the picture. The picture shows the top color as a light green; mine are on the brownish-side. But the legs are just as shown - a nice dark green.Hope this helps! 4No so much for pregnant wife, yes so much for slightly overweight husbandI used to own something called Hakama pants that I bought while living in Japan. True story, being a tall and stocky guy, I had to go to the sumo district in Tokyo, and go to the shop where they fit uniforms for sumo wrestlers. The woman fitting me totally gave me shade about the circumference of my midsection. She was like: "You're big around here (points to stomach) but not so big around here (points to arms.)" Thanks lady.ANYway, for years, they were my absolute favorite pants for relaxing, and a go-to any time that I felt under the weather. Something about the type of fabric just feels really good, and they flow nicely when walking around. Sadly I finally wore them out.Fast forward many years, my wife is now pregnant with our second child. I wanted to buy her something to ease the general discomfort and horribleness that is pregnancy, so the hakama pants came to mind.I did a little research, and found these thai fisherman pants are actually quite close, but cost much much less, so I ordered a pair.Sadly, my wife did not seem to enjoy them. She said while pregnant, the method of tie cuts into the belly in a not so nice way. Afterwards, she tried wearing it once in the hospital and said "oooh, they're nice" while her face said without question "I absolutely hate these."Happy ending tho, I was able to co-opt these pants, and I freaking love them. They remind me so much of my old Hakama pants, with only slightly cheaper fabric, for 1/20th the cost. I work from home most days, and the video conferencing camera only shows from the waist up, so it's business up top, thai fishing down below.Grab yourself a couple pair of these paints, you won't be disappointed (presuming you are not pregnant.) 5Great for Tai ChiI'm (cough) 42", 5'9" - they look pretty darn cool - I use them to do Tai Chi. They are pretty much as advertised. Haven't washed them yet, so can't comment on shrinkage or bleeding. Gave a four because they aren't quite 56" - they are about 54" - and at my size i could do with the extra inch or two! I've order two more pairs from the same supplier (different makes), so we'll see how they compare...I think most of the negative comments date back to 2015, and sound almost like they are for a different product. 4These pants though...I wish I could give them TEN stars. I'm a big dude. 6 foot 5 and 265. And these things fit awesome. Easy to tie and light, comfortable, and durable fabric. Wouldn't recommend them for much more than leaisuring level activities. Wouldn't wanna ride a bike in these, that's for sure. 5NON RETURNABLE ITEM: BEWARE!WARNING: These pants though offered under Amazon Prime and fulfilled by Amazon are unreturnable. The style, color, and length were not to my liking, so I went to send them back and they are not returnable. Not happy. Prime used to mean free returns. 1
