Customer Reviews

My Saucony Guide dynasty continuesI've had Saucony Guides since the Guide 5 when they were recommended by a salesperson at a running store. I have always had good results with these and have stuck with them since originally finding them. Some owners have claimed changes in fit over the years. That may be true, but I think they have been subtle at best and still find them to be the best sneaker for me. The Guide 10 is my new running shoe, the Guide 9 is retired to my daily use, and the Guide 8 is the new mowing shoe. 5, 6 and 7 have since been put out to pasture where all great sneakers eventually wind up.5Flexibilty, Durabilty, Light Weight and AffordableIn my opinion as a Saucony customer for almost 40 years they might produce the most under appreciated and affordable running shoes. Under appreciated perhaps because as customers we don't have to pay for a huge advertising budget. The Guide 10, like most Saucony running shoes is light, flexible and remarkably affordable.Fits as expected for Saucony: 8.5 foot fits in a 9.5 shoe.5Fits Just Like the Guide 6 and 8Not sure why running shoe numbers are changed every year or so. It's always a guess as to whether or not the newest model will have the same fit. Fortunately, these Guides 10s fit ne just like the Guide 6 and Guide 8 shoes that I have worn previously. I like the degree of cushioning and the roomy toe box. I can't rate the arch support because I always replace the insoles with Superfeet Orange. The soles last about 500 miles which isn't great, but the cushioning is pretty much degraded by then anyway. I'll keep buying them as long as they maintain the fit.5Dependable, even when not. Great price! As a 20 year runner, Saucony is typically a quality trainer brand for me, at a decent price, with a bright color options for me; however, 80 Miles in, one shoe had treads that began peeling off and flapping around! And ripped off! It was along misfit towards toe, 4 rows of them. Saucony would not replace/return.I ve never seen this happen with this brand, or any running shoe. I still ran about 350 Miles in them, aiming for trails/grass when possible, with dabs of gorilla glue. I d still buy again, but start using them closer to my purchase date so as to have a stronger case with customer service!4If you don't know this brand, get a size bigger.Thank you to everyone who posted feedback warning that these are VERY small. I normally take a US 10.5, but some brands I've needed 11, so I decided to try 11.5. When they arrived I almost returned them without trying them on they were so much smaller than my New Balance. Glad I didn't. Just tried them for a 5 miler. I had to spread the laces wider than I'm used to and they were initially tight to get on over my heels, but once adjusted they were supportive rather than tight. I half expected to have sore feet after just a half mile and had the old shoes ready but these were fine. Most reviews recommend 1/2 size larger - that would have been too small for me and my toes would have screamed before starting. I went a full size larger and could not have worn any smaller - my toes are all the way to the front. With that adjustment I am quite happy with fit and comfort.4Dissapointed in the Guide 10's, the Guide 9's were better.Unfortunately these shoes felt great out of the box, however after less than 20 miles of breaking in the left shoe is uncomfortable to wear. The heel box slips around allowing the insole to sit incorrectly leading to pain across the arch of my foot. After having two pairs of Saucony Guide 9's that each have over 600 miles on them and are still comfortable it is very dissapointing that these haven't held up the same.To make it worse I didn't wear them the first month I had them due to bad weather for running so now I'm just past the return window and out of luck in regards to exchanging.1Too small and tread coming off ...Size was small and the treads started coming off around the margins (unglued) on both sides at about 70 running miles. First pair of Saucony running shoes that I have NOT been happy with. Maybe just a fluke, but went back to using my old pair (Guide 7 model, which have over 300 miles) - that were the same "size" but fit me right and still have a good solid tread on them.I'll likely go to my local running store next time to get a proper fit and recommendations.2great training shoe, true to size and works great for light over pronatorsGreat shoe! low amount of over-pronation support, quite stiff (compared to the iso hurricane) good traction. good lacing. I really like the design and colors. ran 100km in them, it took a very long period to brake-in, about 40-50km - but once they did they are great. size is true compared to other Saucony shoes, to brooks, Nike and NB. in some brands I take 2e, with this one d works. glad I bought it, one of my favorites.5Not really working for meI am not too pleased with this version of the Saucony Guide. I was previously wearing the Guide 9 and have had previous versions and have usually been happy with them overall. The cushioning in this version is just not enough for me, I have been having aches and pains in my forefoot in one foot since wearing them and some numbness in my big toe. I have played around with different insoles and have not gotten these shoes to work for me.....yet. The thing is you have to have a low profile insole, nothing too thick because there is not a lot of room in the forefoot area, height wise in these shoes. Why can't Saucony put a better insole in their shoes to begin with? The Everun insole is pretty thin and there is not much too it. I used a low profile Sof Sole insole in the previous guide 9s and it worked well. I might have to get a pair of them for the 10s. I will stay away from the Saucony Guides for a while myself.2Great shoe and brandTook them out on a 7 miler on my first run with them, first impressions were they had a good overall ride and feel & comfort level was good. They are considered stability shoes but I feel they can appeal to a broader range of runners. My primary use for them is general training runs since I pretty much exclusively race in ON Clouds or CloudRush, I'm confident these were a good choice as trainers.Purchased a half size larger than normal as per Sauconys fit suggestion on their website, fit isn't perfect for me but it seemed it'll work.Style wise I like the look and colors more than I thought I would.I got them at a great Amazon deal of the day price but even at full retail you really can't go wrong with Sauconys. Would definitely recommend them.4
