    Good stick. Lightweight and strongGood stick. Lightweight and strong. I have taken it on some rough hikes and it performed well. I have issues with my equilibrium and it helped me down steep, rocky trails acting as a handrail. Some people made comments about the cracks. They don't really effect the strength much especially if they are sealed. The carving isn't great and the ferrul is cheep but what do you want for $12.00. I would like to know what kind of wood it is made of and where it was made. I suspect it was made in China. 5Can't go wrong at this price.I am thrilled at what I received for the price. After I received the first one (ordered for my mother for an upcoming cruise), my wife had me immediately reorder one for her as well. Even though the sticks are basically set up the same no two sticks are exactly alike. The first one we thought was close to perfection. The second one came and the grip was substantially larger which made it even easier for Mom to grip it as being in her mid eighties she tends to have a little trouble with arthritis. We are really pleased with what we received for the small price tag. 5Bianbal walking stickI am 63 and have a problem with balance. Canes are more of a hindrance than a help. These walking sticks are great! They help maintain my posture and give added stability when I walk. They are light weight and beautifully made. The price was wonderful! I highly recommend them!!!!!!!!! 5Best purchase I could have made for my spring giking.I have knee and ankle problems that can cause me to stumble on uneven or difficult terrain. I have taken this pole on 3 hikes and I can't imagine doing another without it. Sure it is an added weight, but it offers a great advantage in the stability of your trek and piece if mind when walking uneven ground. I am so impressed that I bought one for another family hiker with knee issues. Also a fan. The pole also doubles as a tent tarp pole. I wrapped Paracord around the handle to increase grip. The wood is sturdy and stable enough to handle my 200 lb + frame. What more can I say. Yo get so much for less than $20. 5Best gift everBought this for my nephew when he was 8. U should've seen his eyes when he unwrapped this super long box it came in. I never knew Asian eyes could get that big! Thing is, he doesn't need it for walking purposes. He just loves playing with old branches so I thought I'd get him a special kind of "stick". Fast forward 3 years later, my nephew still loves this and takes this on hikes and walks around the neighborhood. Longest lasting "kid gift" I ever gave. And if you've ever been around 8 to 11 year old boys u know they'll manage to break things. This, my friend, looks just as good as when he first got it. That tells u a lot about the quality of this piece. 5Price point makes this a winner!I ordered this stick just for light trail hikes, as I have other alternatives for serious treks. For the price, it's not bad at all! I'm not sure what people expect at this price point, but I am satisfied. Besides, people will always find something to whine about, right? I ended up taking the "leather" hand wrap off and wrapping black 550 paracord around the handle, ending with a loop for my hand and an adjustable shoelace stop. If you aren't planning on hiking the entire Appalachian trail, this may suit your needs perfectly. It also has a removable rubber foot, that is hiding a stainless steel spike protruding from the bottom of the pole, to be used to gain traction on ice or rainouts. All in all, I plan on ordering another one for my fianc as she likes mine. 4Nice walking stick but lots of chips, loose wood, unfinished polishThe wood was chipped in many places. If I ran my hand up or down the stick I would getclipped or wood logged in my hand. Most of the chipped areas did not have protectivepolish exposing the wood.I used it to walk, helped me to stand upright much better especially since I tend to bend due to back problems.Walking with the stick felt very good much better than a cane. I liked the way it minimized the load off my back.I'm keeping the stick with all its flaws. The positives out weighed the negatives. I purchased two more walking sticks. 4it helped me climb a mountain trailI love it , went to Yellowstone and there was no way I would have made it to the top of mammoth without it, I have a muscle disorder and there were many trails I could not have done with out the help of this stick. It's beautiful as well gorgeous wood a little heavy but I found that a plus for pulling me and keep me stable. absolutely my best purchase for the trip 5A couple angles off perfectionOverall, the stick felt really nicely made. It felt sturdy and the hand carved wolf was fairly accurate to what I saw in the pictures. I would trust this stick to support my 140 lb frame. However, I was not without complaints. Although this might be a plus for others due to how the flaws may add a sense of uniqueness, I was expecting the stick to be as straight as the one as I saw in the pictures. The stick I recieved was rather knobby and angled, which made it rather uncomfortable to hold. It seemed as if the manufacturer picked the side that looked the straightest, and that was the side that the wolf was carved into, so it looks straight from certain angles. There were also some cracks in the stick that were simply fixed with a type of filler that I was not a fan of. Overall, I think that the stick is very nice, but many should keep in mind that there is a certain risk if one is trying to buy a straight stick and that short cuts may have been taken to make the stick look perfect. I think the consumer could benefit if the manufacturer/seller took more time to pick more quality pieces of bianbai wood. 3Very nice looking and sturdyI love my walking stick. I have arthritis and this stick helps me to stay on my feet longer than without it. I take it to the park and to street fairs. I get a lot of compliments on it. People want to know where I got it. Little kids are always curious as to why I'm using a big stick. It's kind of fun. So glad I got it because it allows me to go places that I might avoid because it's difficult to stand around or get around. This stick gives me something to lean on if I need to wait in line, which takes the pressure off my joints.I've never felt like the stick is anything but sturdy. It's easy to grip from any area. Sometimes I hold it at the top and other times I feel more comfortable holding it a foot or so down. Since there's no grip area, you can choose whatever is most comfortable for you. .It's easier to use than a cane, which causes pain in my arm. I have better range of motion and can walk faster with the stick. The best part about the stick is that it doesn't make me look feeble or handicapped like a cane does. But, I still feel like it's an outdoor thing and hesitate to take it to the mall. Maybe if the stick were shorter I'd feel more comfortable carrying it around indoors. 5
