    Great except for the costI wear these at night when I'm backpacking so my sweaty legs don't stick to the sleeping bag. Yuck! These work well, however. They're not too hot. I was distraught when my wife did a load of laundry during our PCT hike and came back with everything except these leggings. I looked all over but couldn't find them so I had to order a new pair. I couldn't sleep well until I received the new pair. 4Panty HoseThis product fits well. The customer support for this product was helpful when I called. I have been happy with Terramar products in the past. My problem with this product is three-fold.1) This product actually feels good to wear. The problem is that this ThermaSilk product is so shear that even when wearing two tops simultaneously, the product is almost 'see through.' This product also offers virtually no thermal protection. It might have some value as a 'base layer; however, that is not why I bought this product.2) I bought this product because the Terramar customer service insisted this product was not dyed. I am allergic to Disperse Dyes. However, whatever was used in the manufacturing of this product is giving me a reaction. As a result, I cannot wear this product.This experience has taught me that I'm still better off buying clothing at a brick and mortar store. 2NOT DURABLE! START TO BREAK DOWN IN 1 MONTH!After reading positive reviews, I bought these silk underpants. The fit is perfect. It is very comfortable. It hugs my legs and doesn't sag. Most importantly, it kept me warm. However, after a month of wearing, it started to break down. Is this suppose to happen with silk underpants that you are not suppose to wear it often? I bought these on December 22, and today is January 24, they look like they have been worn for years! HAHA! I can't give it more than a star review, these pants are comfortable but they are not durable! For how much they are, I expect a higher quality product. 1Too thin.I should have heeded the other reviews that mentioned it's very thin. I was hoping it would be like an older set I have but they must have changed it. My older set is indeed thin and I like them for that reason, but they're not this thin. I have used this and it works, but it is way too close to wearing hose-like material. I would prefer something more durable. I wish they would bring back the old style, which was a great compromise of thin enough to easily under clothes but not so thin that it's like hose. I am a woman but I ordered the men's style, hoping it would be more robust than the women's. Nope. 1Silk- The only fabric to own. Terramar- Never disappointsEdit: I just ordered yet another pair of these to start the ski season. I am a professional ski instructor so great long underwear is vital for for me. These are the fourth pair of Terramar long johns that I've owned. The only long johns that I liked better was the "angostar" silk/angora blend that was discontinued in the early 80's.There are all those poly blend undergarments that get a lot of marketing attention, but NONE of them compare to silk. At this time silk is the best of them all. The one thing about silk is that it keeps you warm in the cold but you don't overheat when you go inside. Additionally, they are so thin you can wear them under your dress clothes. So, if you're a salesman going to and from your car to various environments all day these are what you want.As I said, these are the third pair of Terramar long johns I've owned. Mine usually start to develop holes in about 8 years which require replacement. Hence my recent purchase. 5Loved them and ordered moreLoved them and ordered more. They are not heavy duty. If that is what you want then don't buy light weight silks. These should feel like a second skin; they don't take up any room but give enough protection to keep the chill off. Key here is light weight. Perfect for me for every day in the winter. 5So good, I bought more!Finally! Good, silk long underwear! These pants are really quite long. I usually buy large, although I am not at all large myself, because medium is usually small. But these really are long. I'd say they'd fit a guy 6'4". The waist is a good 31" before stretching and could probably fit a 36" waist comfortably. 40" might be a stretch, so to speak. The fabric is thicker than most of the sheer silks I have used before, so they are nice and warm, and they have shown no signs of disintegration. I've worn them for a couple months.I am so happy with them, I bought two more pairs. 5100% silk pantyhose for menAfter reading the review by the ski instructor, I thought these were worth a try but the other reviewer was right that these are too thin. Can t seem to find a medium or even light weight 100% silk underwear since WinterSilks went out of business. This Terramar is ultra thin, really just pantyhose for men. 1Decent summer thermalsDon't buy these expecting much thermal insulation, but they work great in chilly summers. I own probably 6 different types of terramar thermal's, and I love them all as they each have their place. These are really great for my summer hikes, when it may drop 55-65 . I usually don't bring a sleeping bag in theses temperatures, instead just a pair of these, the thermasilk shirt, and maybe a lightweight bag liner.To compare these to the Terramar Silkweight (the next closest comparison in temp and weight) :* These are 100% pure silk.. Silkweight is 100% polyester* These are good down to 65 by themselves ( wearing shorts and maybe rain pants ).. Silkweight is good closer to 55 with the same.* These weigh 90g in Medium.. Silkweight weighs 140g in Medium.Other notes:* These are VERY comfortable to wear.* Silk feels great against your skin.* They are rather see through when stretched out over your sikn.* They don't stretch as well as other terramars obviously, because its pure silk.* They seem as durable as any other terramar. I've worn them out sitting on the ground by a fire, minor branch snags here and there, no rips or issues.If I had to come up with any con... I'd like to see a hybrid of the silk with a little polyester or spandex. Something between the weight of these and the Silkweights, that offered a little stretch that fits a bit better (or a bit more like the rest of terramars), and maybe offered a bit more warmth. Although it's not really a con as much as a wish for another product.These are great warm weather thermals though, that I will continue to use for many years. 5Total waste of moneyTotal waste of money. Bought two pair (one black and one white) for son to wear under his wool uniform.3 weeks into wool uniform season they have split out in crotch and are pretty much useless. Fabric is too thin for everyday wear under a scratchy wool uniform. 1
