    Perfect hiking jacket for rain and wind !First the color I love (seems to not be some people s favorite and I suppose that s why I got it for so cheap !) I went up a size (XL) as I like it to be longer down and wear things underneath it. I personally like the cuff around the neck as when the wind blows it keeps my face warm. To tighten the hood took me a moment while the wind was blowing very strong but once I got it tight I could only feel the wind on my hands which were outside of the pockets (walking with dogs) for the price under $50 for the color I choose this is absolutely worth the buy if you have rain and wind or just one ! As well it is a wonderful jacket to pack backpacking as it s light and folds well and perfect for hiking !! 5Waterproof, light weight, and durableGreat jacket for the rain. It's super light weight and durable. The hood gives enough coverage and has an additional collar when you don't want to wear the hood. You also tuck in the hood to hide it. It does not provide any warmth to it. The only problem I've had with it was the zipper because it doesn't always align properly. But over all great product 5Zipper broke after a day of useI loved this jacket when it arrived, fit perfectly. I am 5 2 , petite and 105lbs and the XS fit great and even fits a hoodie underneath. It is just a LIGHT rain jacket, not for the cold. Worked in Iceland for the summer months. However the second day of wearing the zipper is all jacked up. When you zip it up, sometimes it ll split from the bottom making it almost impossible to zip back down. For the price of this jacket, I am not satisfied and wouldn t recommend to others. I am not sure if mine is just defective. . I will update once I talk to the seller. 2Excellent Jacket!This jacket fits well, the sleeve length is just right, the hem can be tightened on both sides for a snug fit, and it is breathable. I had previously ordered the Marmot Precip Rain Jacket and returned it the same day. The Marmot jacket stuck to my skin the moment I put it on making me feel hot as the material inside the jacket had a plastic feel to it. The North Face Jacket has a mesh liner inside that feels so much better. The sleeves on The North Face are lined as well as the hood and pockets. It does not have zip pits which would have been perfect , and it does not fold into it's own pocket for storage. However, it is very packable for either backpack or suitcase. The North Face is heavier than the Marmot and the jacket does not rustle when you move compared to the Marmot. I have yet to wear the North Face in the rain but have no doubt it will stand up to a hard rain and it will keep me dry. A heavy hooded sweatshirt can be worn under this jacket and the fit remains comfortable. The hood does not have a Velcro sticker to pull the hood from the face so I'll probably add one myself, or wear a baseball cap under the hood. The hood does have a small brim though that is helpful. The hood stashes into the collar the same way in both jackets with a Velcro fastener keeping the collar closed. Both jackets are machine washable and closing the zipper and fastening the Velcro tabs before washing will keep the mesh liner from snagging on the Velcro. I was really impressed with the quality of this jacket compared to the Marmot which had a thinner, cheaper feel. The price point for the North Face was nearly twenty dollars less than the Marmot jacket. All in all, I found The North Face jacket to be an excellent buy! 5Keeps me dry but the hood is ridiculousThe jacket fit perfectly and works well to keep the PNW wind and rain out. But the hood is designed to go over a helmet and the only way to adjust it when you are not wearing a helmet is with the little elastic straps along the sides. But all those do is cinch the hood down around and over your face. Many jackets have velcro or something on the back of the hood so you can keep the hood from covering your eyes but unfortunately this one does not. Having the hood constantly falling into my face when I have it up is a complete hassle so I am rating this 3 stars instead of the 5 I woud have given it if they had added one little piece of velcro. 3It came super fast!!I ordered on the 12th and it came on the 15th so 3 days was super fast for free shipping. I love this jacket, it is light weight and very durable. I needed a light jacket for the weather and it's perfect. I will be ordering again. 5Dont waste your moneyThis jacket hardly holds up to the NF name. The sleeves could be bit longer, the hood is barely adequate (we do want to wear this in the rain, right?) and it has Velcro closure over the zipper which conveniently gets attached to the mesh lining (ALL OF THE TIME). I definitely would have returned it but needed it for a trip and was desperate at the time. Definitely not worth $90+. I previously had a gander mountain rain jacket that was amazing that I wish I still had. Should have looked there first but needed a jacket quickly. Super bummed! 2Awesome coatThis is a super nice rain coat! I thought it would be a little heavier, more like coat material but it really is just a rain jacket, which is perfect for when I go back packing. I think in the future I might need a coat with rain jacket material of some sort but this is really nice! 4Nice jacketPerfect fit, waterproof and windchill features work as expected 5Love itGlad I read the reviews and went with the suggested size up. I do wish it had adjustable Velcro straps to tighten the sleeve cuffs they're a little large (which is better than too tight). Otherwise perfect. I'm 5'8" and 210lbs and the XXL fit well to also have layers underneath. 4
