    Just what i've been looking for!Great thin trouser socks. I'm a size 7.5W/8M and these came just past my ankle bone, so a little lower than the picture shows. The band is tight but not uncomfortable around my 8.5" ankle. I can wear loafers and pumps without the 'sock' portion showing! They also survived through the washer (in a delicates bag, hang dry).45 stars because they stay upI bought these to wear with long pants and Toms because they get so stinky from going sockless. These are pantyhose material with extra (cotton?) stitching in the sole. I do believe this adds durability and absorption, but it's not any extra cushion. It still feels like pantyhose on the bottom, not like a sock. I wear size 10 women's and these are a little small on me. The stitching comes just to the back of my heel when I pull them all the way up. They still work fine and this brings me to the most important point. THEY STAY UP. I had basically no confidence that I would find something that works as well as these. I have never had them slip down. Now, this may also have something to do with the fact that I have larger than average ankles and these are tight on my ankles. This is my only complaint. I notice the tightness after wearing all day, and it leaves a red mark around my ankle for a little while after. Usually this is no big deal, but it's something to consider if you were changing into shorts or a dress immediately after wearing. They could be a little bit taller in the ankle, sometimes I think the top shows when I sit with legs crossed, but don't really care that much. So far they've held up well to machine wash and dry. I will probably get more when these wear out, but I may shop around for a taller/looser ankle.5Toe seam is big and bulky!I purchased these to wear with skinny leg dress pants. I was hoping that there were like panty hose style ankle socks. To a degree they are - until your toes get to the big bulky seam where they are sewed. As you can see from the pictures the seam is very bulky - The strings in each side are about an inch long! The concept is good but the execution in design does not work. I also purchased the Fitu brand of socks like these and they are working great!2Awesome for hiking!OMG! These are the absolutely best things I have ever purchased for long distance hiking. I used to get horrible blisters when I only wore one pair of socks but I started reading about guys in the military that wore nylons under their socks to prevent this and figured I'd give it try. I did not want to wear full on pantyhose in the Florida heat so I bought these beautiful little ankle high tights and let me tell you those military guys were not kidding it works!! What an wonderful feeling to be able to walks for miles and miles without getting any blisters. I will NEVER hike in one pair of socks again.5These silk socks helped me a lotI like that filling, when I'm wearing silky socks with a sneakers and this set is really nice.Recently I bought beautiful golden sneakers, but it somewhat small and there was no bigger size available.So I can't wear it with ordinary socks......These silk socks helped me a lot, cause I can wear my favorite golden sneakers for hours now!5after first wash not so muchFirst off they are very good quality, but didn't work for me after the first wash. I wear 10's or 11's depending and these hit me right about the ankle bone. I wear my pants long so it wasn't an issue. After they were all washed they seemed to slide down in my shoe and feel tight around the ankle leaving marks. I am putting most of this on me....having a larger size foot and put them thru the dryer....I will not be repurchasing but would not tell someone not to get them if they have an average size foot. I think they would work great for them312 Pair! I thought ist was for 1 pair of each color...Bought these because I wanted some peds for some boots that fit a little tight with regular socks. Looked at several retail stores and could find what I wanted all they carried was the old fashion ped.I originally thought the were pricy but it was what I was looking for as they say you get what you pay for.Pleasantly surprised when I got 12! Gave a few pair to my daughter and she loves them, something she said she would not have though of buying.Good buy, good quality and hard to find item, highly recommend them.5Feel cool - no sweaty feetI tried these for the first time and love them. The cottony sole has a lacy like edge which looks pretty. The top is sheer and fits right at the ankle. I hate the feeling of sweaty bare feet in shoes and socks are too hot in the summer. These are perfect. Better for sweaty feet than a nylon stocking. Feel cool in hot weather.5Big foot coming through.Wearing a size 11 I was concerned if these would even fit but I was pleasantly surprised by how stretchy they are. The band around the bottom of the calf if a tad tight, my legs are thicker than most, but not uncomfortable. Kept my feet mostly dry and no slipping throughout the day.5Five StarsSocks look great.
